Townland (Ireland)
A Townland is the smallest administrative land division in Ireland, predating modern postal systems. There are more than 60,000 townlands, and many still form part of local addressing.
In Fetchify Address Auto Complete, Townland names often appear in the double_dependent_locality or dependent_locality fields.
Examples:
- Ballintubber
- Knocknagree
Townlands are especially common in rural or semi-rural Irish addresses.
